These are the front pastures. This pasture has lots of legumes, more alfalfa and clover. This pasture was new last year, but I did frost seed clover and orchard grass early this spring/late winter.
This is a blog about sheep specifically Corriedales. Corriedales are a dual purpose meat and wool breed that perform well for both uses. They produce great fleece that spinners value highly. Our farm is in central Illinois.

Corriedale Ewes
The ewes are grazing on new pasture mix this spring: alfalfa, clover, orchard grass . They all look pretty happy. The ram is in with these ewes, so some will hopefully have fall lambs.

Spring
Welcome to spring! New alfalfa field in the near distance and a small wheat field beyond. But all looks similar on this beautiful green spring day.
